EA App is blank on Mac since launcher update

Since the EA app launcher update this morning, that I assume was meant to fix the PC issue, now on Mac I only see a blank EA app and can't start Sims 4 anymore, see screenshot below :(

What I tried so far:

1. Restart EA app
2. Kill all EA related background processes + EA app and start again
3. Restart mac freshly again
4. Log out and back in of EA app
5. Go into offline mode -> offline mode shows me Sims 4 again, but when I start the game from there, now all my packs show as deinstalled?! and I can't play my Save that needs all packs :( I tried to go online from within the game then, so I could try to re-enable all packs from within marketplace, but it doesn't let me go online, always shows an error.
6. Going back online again from the launcher options, but still no change, the launcher stays blank
7. Removed mods from mods folder
8. Double checked internet connection of course

=> EA app stays blank after all I tried.

I just played yesterday with the newest patch, but after today's EA app launcher update I can't play anymore.
