Friends list issues with EA app

Other (Please Describe) Please describe Friends list When did this happen? (dd.mm.yy hh:mm) Every day Summarize your bug Friends list randomly stops refreshing status of friends. When this happen its also not possible to change your own status. It seems that the client have lost connection with server. Must go offline and back online to make it update statuses again. Also often when doing this you will get a error saying friends list cant be loaded and show a reload button. When clicking reload button friends list loads and it works again until it randomly stops refreshing status of friends. Also another issue is that the friends list changes your own status to invisible after some time if EA app isnt in focus. Even when you are using your computer but have other windows active after a time the app will just change my status to invisible. dont know if this is a feature or not but it wasnt like this a month ago. Both of these issues started in mid October with EA app. I do not have these issues in Origin at all so its only EA app How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%) Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Have EA app open on your pc but not as the active window for a while. Dont know how long as its random but just leave it open for a few hours and see what happens. What happens when the bug occurs? hadn't played sims for months and when I logged back on I had to update which was all fine. but once update was done I had none of my packs, and it said I have 0 hours played which is wrong. I had over 100 hours and had spent hundreds of dollars on expansion packs and more. I'm having the same issue. I just contacted EA and they're saying this has been happening to several people and that they're looking into it. So I think for now we just have to wait unfortunately. Wish I had my Sims 4 game on a flash drive or a CD right now.. I've had this issue ever since i bought a game on Steam and it forced me to install the EA app... Long story short; it refuses to connect and download the app, hence preventing me from even playing the game. First image is via Steam itself, 2nd is via the manual EA app setup program. I am trying to buy a bundle and get as far as to check-out. When I enter my payment information I get the message: "Your request could not be processed. We were unable to verify your credit or debit card. Please check your payment details and try again. Alternatively try another credit card or payment option or check with your card issuer or bank." I have tried with different cards just to be sure, and also made sure I enter the correct information - many times. I have browsed EA support sites for a good while without finding helpful advice, but I can see in the forums that a few others have had the same problem. Has anyone figured out what works? Hi there, the past week I have been having issues with the EA App. It shows “Connection Failed”, despite being connected to internet and all other applications on my laptop working. I have tried different networks and none have worked. So, because of this “connection failed”, I cannot access the Sims 4 Gallery and have a delivery error when I open the game. I usually play my game in offline mode but today the EA app force closed to do an update. After updating it I logged back into the EA App and all of my DLC's are gone. All of the EP, GP, etc. files are still in my computer but in the EA app it is asking me to repurchase them as add-ons and only allows me to download base game. I can not load my households in game because of this. This is over $800+ worth of my money from the last ten years just gone. I have uninstalled the app and game, repaired, moved files, and nothing is working to get them back. The EA app is even saying I have only played the game for "7 minutes" I only have ONE EA account so I know I did not log in to a different one accidentally as I am seeing being suggested for the problem, the only solutions I have seen across my searching is "Log into the correct account" which does not apply to me. So I currently play sims 4 on my MacBook, I recently purchased the get to work expansion pack but when I tried to download it I would immediately get an unknown error message after about 2 percent of it being downloaded. I've restarted my MacBook, cleared the cache thoroughly, even going so far as going into my computer library and cleaning out all the EA and Origin folders, reinstalled the EA app and of course restarted the EA app. Nothing has helped and this is my last resort, I've put in an error report too, no response yet.Solved
