EA app not opening: error code EC:106

The EA app on my MacBook Air is failing to open and I have not been able to open it since last night. It comes up with the attached message. Any ideas?  Thanks

    finally found the solution! I was running an older version of MacOS and updated to Monterey. after updating MacOS the app downloaded and launched with no issues.
