EA App text is messed up?

Which plonker at EA decided to change the language to Simlish on the app??? 

Take note if you are going to do that make sure you always have the button showing to change to the original language. It stops the user from repeatedly re starting the app, repairing it and redownloading it.

Posted the same thing. and its the 2nd of april not the first

I had to unistall and re install after clearing cache and app recovery. Rookie programming mistake - no language changing button to click unless re downloaded.

I think it's actually Hebrew

The problem is the button to change language to English was not anywhere to be found. I had to uninstall and reinstall to get it to show. Now if that was the intention keep it up and you will lose players,  if it wasn't then re learn programming and do us all a favour.

Hey all -- jumping in to clear this up and address a couple of points directly.

This was an April Fools’ easter egg tied to The Sims (Simlish showing briefly if it was your last played title). It wasn’t intended to block access or core functionality.

That said, there are two separate things being mixed together here:

• Expected behavior: Temporary Simlish UI that reverts back shortly after launch
• Not intended: Missing/hidden language controls or needing a reinstall to recover

If you had to reinstall or couldn’t access language settings, that’s not the joke -- that’s something we want to look at more closely.

Changkra​ -- calling it a “rookie programming mistake” is a stretch. The app didn’t universally lose language controls, and most users saw it revert automatically. But your experience (having to reinstall) is valid feedback, and that’s the part worth focusing on. If you still hit this, share your steps, and we’ll dig into it.

For everyone else:

• If it reverted on its own → working as designed
• If it didn’t → clear cache / restart should resolve it (no reinstall needed in normal cases)
