Update: The issue has been fixed (on my end, at least). I finally noticed the date and time on my computer was incorrect. I opened up the date/time settings and synced it. After that, the EA app opened no problem.
Things I've tried to resolve the actual issue that have NOT worked:
- Restarted my computer.
- Updated Windows and restarted again.
- "Repair" the app instead of uninstall (from the uninstall option).
- Uninstalled & reinstalled. Seemed to work until I logged in, then the error popped up again.
- Open in admin.
- Open the updater.
- Open the updater in admin.
- Connect to a different WiFi network.
- Clear the cache.
- Multiple combinations of the above.
