Need help to recover my Origin/EA-Biblio
Issue: Lost Access to My EA Account and Purchased Games
Hello,
I need help recovering access to my purchased games, especially Dragon Age: Inquisition. A few years ago, I created an EA (formerly Origin) account and linked my games to it. However, I recently discovered that Origin has been discontinued, and I can no longer log in because:
- I lost access to the email address associated with my EA account (m**********b@outlook.de). At some point, Outlook forced me to change my password for security reasons. During this process, I accidentally entered my old password incorrectly, and since then, I have been unable to recover the email account, no matter what I tried. Eventually, I had no choice but to create a new email address.
- I no longer remember my EA account password, and without access to my old email, I cannot reset it.
- I was never informed about the shutdown of the Origin launcher because I had not played the game for a while. Since my old email was inaccessible, I never received any notifications from EA.
When I contacted EA Support, I was told that my old EA account has been deactivated due to inactivity and that the only way to recover my games is to regain access to my old email—something that is simply not possible anymore.
However, I have purchased all my games legally and for example still have my original game CDs and serial keys for Dragon Age: Inquisition as proof of ownership. I strongly believe that as the rightful owner of these games, I should not be forced to play them regularly just to keep my account active. I paid for these games, and I should have the right to play them whenever I want—not be punished for taking a break.
Despite providing proof of purchase, EA Support informed me that they cannot transfer my games to my new EA account (m**********b@outlook.de). I should also mention that I only created this new account to even get the chance to speak to a real person, since EA no longer offers phone support and there is no other way to contact an actual human online, or via mail (like a support@ea.com or something like that).
I believe there must be a way to verify my identity using my game keys or other proof of purchase. Is there any way for EA to restore access to my games or maybe link them to my new account?
