I just opened my sims after a month of not playing it, and it showed me to the “Get To Work” expansion pack (like how it appears after you buy a new pack and open the game) and I’m extremely lost. I haven’t and won’t purchase anymore packs from the company because I don’t want my money going to something I don’t support, but I never purchased “get to work”, so I’m super confused on why I own it.

you can check your purchase history to see if you can see the purchase there. Unfortunately, we don't have access to account information here, so can't really tell, why you might have a pack on your account that you haven't consciously purchased.
Otherwise, do you have an EA Play membership? If yes, the pack is part of the membership, which would explain why you have it now without purchasing.
