Can no one give me a valid solution to this problem? So I guess I should ask for a refund of my money?

Hi @APoL0x,
Have you also tried creating a new administrator account on Windows and ran the EA app and CnC as an administrator?
Apologies for not replying sooner, there was my weekend in between.

@EA_JasonI tried this (although I already was in an administrator account), and it did not work, two error messages still appearing.

@EA_JasonHi, I'm already tried with my original administrator account and with a new administrator account, in both cases the two error messages appear. I tried running EA app and CnC as administrator too in both cases.

Alright thank you for trying, I just booted up the game without any issues so there must be something that's interfering with the startup of the game.
You could try to perform a Clean Boot of Windows and lowering the UAC settings in Windows.
- APoL0x4 years agoSeasoned Traveler@EA_Jason I performed a Clean Boot of Windows stopping all services (except EABackgroundService and all Microsoft ones). I also have UAC settings to lowest possible. It didn't work, two error messages still appearing.

Now, I have re-enabled all services I stopped before and I have saved a MSInfo report and uploaded to my MEGA account. Here is the link:

That's really strange, let me tag @Nyerguds to see if he has any more tips for us as he is the CnC expert.
As for your MsInfo, you can create a case on EA Help and attach the MsInfo in there. We can't allow the file to be posted on the forums publicly. When it is attached to a case, just let me know and I'll have a look.

@EA_Jason Sorry... I may be an expert on how to get the old games running, but this is the Remaster, so, well, by design, none of the old problems I'm familiar with are relevant to it. I may have beta tested the Remaster, but in terms of resolving problems to get it running, that's about 20 years past my area of expertise :-\
@APoL0x This may be a long shot, but, have you tried doing a game repair?

Even when the old games are you main expertise, you might still know a thing or two about the remaster. It was a long shot, but thanks for checking and replying out @Nyerguds!
Unfortunately there is no Repair option on the EA app so that's not going to work ☹️
Another thing that you can try, @APoL0x, is to check the box to run the program as an administrator in the Compatibility Mode.

@EA_JasonThanks for the quick response. I tried to create a case on EA Help, but it redirects me to Answers HQ to open a thread. However, from https://help.ea.com/en/my-cases/ I've seen I have two closed cases about this problem and I've attached MSInfo report there. It's a file named "mymsinfo.txt".

@EA_JasonI have tried checking the box to run the program as an administrator in the Compatibility Mode that in both the game shortcut (root "C:\Program Files\EA Games\CnCRemastered\ClientLauncher) and the EA app shortcut (root "C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\EA Desktop\EA Desktop\EALauncher.exe"), it didn't work, two error messages still appearing.

Alright in that case I want to check something different. We have tried all the solutions for running the game as an administrator so it looks like the issue might lie elsewhere.
Where did you get the game from @APoL0x?

@EA_JasonAs I said in the first post:
"I have Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, which includes EA Play. I downloaded Command & Conquer: Remastered Collection in the EA app."
I have my EA account linked in the Xbox app. Others games included in the EA Play, like Unravel or Unravel Two work fine in the EA app. - EA_Jason4 years ago

Ah I must have missed that, thank you for clarifying.
Unfortunately that means testing it with Origin is out of the window. You also tested a Clean Boot, meaning that you don't have any VPN/Firewall/Ant-virus active that could interfere with it.
For posterity, could you try shutting down your VPN/Firewall/Anti-Virus/Proxy and see what happens? I don't think it will make a difference but better safe than sorry.
I do have another idea and a hunch what it causing this, but first lets try the above.
- APoL0x4 years agoSeasoned Traveler@EA_Jason I had ESET NOD32 Antivirus but I uninstalled it this morning and after tried all the steps posted in this thread but it didn't work. I do not have a VPN or Proxy.

I've also tried turning off Microsoft Defender and Windows Firewall. It didn't work.

@EA_Jason I just contacted tech support via chat and they logged into my account and ran the game with no problems. I was going to save the full chat transcript (in Spanish), but the chat partner closed the chat window before I could do so. He recommended a series of steps such as running CCleaner (I do it daily) and installing the latest versions of NET Framework and Visual C++ which I already have installed and updated.
