Re: Asus ROG Ally Gamepad not recognized

Hi, this initially was put in Dragon Age Inquisition, but seems to be more of a general EA app issue from the post contents so we moved it. Can I check if this was just tested on DAI or were there other EA app games which encountered this?

I just tested one now on DAI and it worked fine. But if you're not familiar with the process, DAI needs you to manually activate controllers. You can do so from the options menu on the title screen, there's a toggle.

If this doesn't help, or it affects other games, what might be factors are controller software or other USB devices.

Can you try disabling any controller-related software (including ASUS' if relevant) and try reconnecting the device. It's also worth removing any extra USB devices in case those are being seen by the app/game as a controller.

  • Try this. Edit the game profile of Dragon age inq. In Armory crate. set to Zero (0) the left Stick outer threshold. Open dragon age game, go to menu, change the control to gamepad, save and closed the game. Re open the game, you can use now the left stick.
