Have you followed these exact steps?

• Uninstall all BF1 installations (especially the ones installed through Origin or the EA app),
• Reboot the PC,
• Install & launch BF1 through Steam,
  • It's important that the games bought from Steam are installed through Steam and launched from Steam for the first time.

Tried, but it doesn't work. The EA app keeps closing immediately after launching too. It keeps causing my steam to show that im playing the game despite not having the application open. Please help!

Yours and the rest of the support teams replies have been genuinely insulting, as if you aren't actually reading anything anyone is saying. And the lack of a public statement is completely shocking. Surely multiple laws are being broken here? We bought stuff, we don't have stuff and the guys who sold us the stuff are essentially ignoring us. 

So this issue is still happening to me in April, would love an actual fix that's not just repeating the same message over and over again. I've performed this exact process no less than 3 times and still not getting my game to work. Is there anything that's been figured out in the past few months?
