Re: [CLOSED] How to Fix "Your Game Failed to Launch" Error in EA app?
I've been having the same problem; however I've been playing sims for the past week perfectly fine. Even after the patch update it was working until my dog stepped on the power strip switch and turned my pc off while I was in game. I have yet to figure it out, but I have been making a list of different options to try to resolve this. Here's that list: [ ] fully exit the app by ending the EA and EA Background Service processes in the task manager, then relaunch the EA app and try again
[ ] run an EA Error Report and provide the Report ID in a new thread.
[ ] Open the Control Panel (find it by searching Control Panel in the Start menu). Under Programs, click Uninstall a program. Click on the EA app and uninstall. Reinstall the EA app, then try installing your game again.
[ ] Disable your antivirus, repair the game in the EA App, and look again for TS4_x64. If it's back, you can reenable your antivirus and set the necessary exceptions.
[ ] clear the EA App's cache
[ ] File Explorer > Program Files > Electronic Arts > EA Desktop > EA Desktop > App Recovery
Run App Recovery as Admin
[ ] clean boot, maybe some program is disturbing
[ ] uninstalling the EA Desktop App followed by launching the Xbox App and then installing EA Desktop through the Xbox App
I've decided that if none of those options work, then I'm going to give it time to see if it rlly is an ea problem since the failed to launch pop up would say it was on their end. If it is an ea problem, I really hope they fix it soon. However, if it was an ea problem then idk how I was able to play for 4 hours before my pc being shut off. I've been quite addicted to sims lately, so if I can't figure it out then I will cry 🙂 I hope some of the options I provided help you!
