- @ness_giygas hi I always recommend using origin launcher, as the people I know always have less issues using that app. If it doesn't work only thing you can really do is wait and try another day which sucks. It's just EA being ea
How would i go about using origin instead of EA app? Every time i boot battlefield ea app automatically starts

@ness_giygas Hi ! Do you have still your Origin app installed on your computer ?
Because in my experience, I had some struggles with the game when I moved from Origin to EA App without uninstalling it.
When I attempt to launch BF2042 from Steam, the EA app launches, then splash screen disappers, then the EA App Library appears and displays a message that "You don't have access - This title may have been downloaded to your device by another user who owns the game. Log into a different account or restart the app and try again."
No amount of restarting the computer, Steam Client, EA app, or "File repair" has resolved this issue. I am logged into the account that was used to purchase the game, and I have over 80 hours in it.
I have attached a screenshot of the error.

I installed origin today
I bought the game through Steam, EA does not even recognize I have the game and says I don't have access. I have Battlefield 1 downloaded through Steam only.

Appears to have been a widespread issue with the new EA application. I'm reading that the Origin client was not affected.
It seems to be fixed now though. You have to fully exit and restart the EA app and your library should visible again.

Hey @JISPIX,
Could you try to download Apex Legends (free game) through Steam, cancel the download halfway, reboot your PC, and check if you're able to launch BF1 through Steam?
If not, start the download of Apex Legends again through Steam, check if you can boot the game correctly, close it, check if you can boot BF1. Hi, everytime i click on the Fifa 23 app on my desktop Im redirected to the EA Play APP and it displays the following message : "You Dont HAve Acess, this title may have been downloaded on your computer by another User" but Im the owner, on my own Ea Play account, on my computer. Can you help me?

Hi @BolsoBaphometWZ Can you check if you are logged into the correct account on EA App and any connected platform like steam, and that both are linked together?
Have tried both. Still gives me the same error.

Ive tried all the different solutions but nothings working, have we got a fix for this yet? Why on earth is this an issue in the first place? I've basically been scammed for a product that doesn't work, this is a joke
@ness_giygas We will likely not see anything significant until after the weekend at this point. It doesn't seem like they care once the transaction has been made as their entire support afterword's is delegated to an online forum and twitter which I do not have, which is quite outdated in 2023 for a AAA studio.
Most likely will have to seek a refund. Shame it is a game I kind of enjoyed, but it is hard to do so it is literally unplayable. I personally have tried everything available and even used another computer and still nothing. In fact I even added Apex which seems to remain in my library, but my paid game is not. They can not even say things like wrong account, or EA version since I have logged a few achievements and hours into it. It just broke for the second time in 24 hours, this time for much longer than 12+ hours now. I ran the version updater post fresh install to be safe and it verified that I have the right version too. Some people have reported that it is working again with no explanation on a fix so as anyone with basic critical thinking can deduce, it is 100% their end and they will just say "technical difficulties" or play games on the forum like "Have you tried unplugging it, and plugging it back in?" and then wait 6 hours for the next update of "try again".
I could keep ranting but with respect to the forum mods being pretty much just chatbots(being honest there is nothing they can really do, They are not the SWEs) , there isn't much we can do expect wait anyway until someone in upper management decides to go to work.Which they wont, EA has too many mindless people who pre-buy their games over and over and feed them money, all while having managers pushing out non working crap over and over. Until their is a maxx exodus from EA and people stop buying their games.. they wont care, but that also likely wont happen and why they keep treating their customers like this.
@EA_LeeuwI am having this same issue and cannot launch any EA games I download through Steam. I get the "don't have access" error message, and the games do not appear in my collection in the EA app. I have an EA Play subscription through steam but the app does not seem to recognize this as there is an option in the app to join EA Play. This issue happened shortly after I chose to not have my annual EA Play subscription renew when it runs out at the ends of the year, but I still have about 11 months left. Your fix did not work for me. Please advise on how I can resolve this or how to get a refund for my EA Play subscription, since as of now I cannot launch any EA games.

Hey @freshquire,
It is normal that the EA app doesn't recognise that you have EA Play on Steam, because the EA app and Steam are considered two different platforms. Therefore, if you purchase EA Play on Steam, you can only use it to claim games that are available for EA Play on Steam, not games that are available via EA Play for EA app.
Have you tried the workaround that is posted on the 1st page of this thread? OH MY GOOOD !!!! I went through this on Saturday and Sunday, then it got fixed on its own Sunday night, and now Wednesday morning and it's back again !!! WHYYY EA WHYYY ???!!!! IM JUST TRYING TO PLAY SOME FIFA !!!

Please check my previous message in this thread and try to see if an EA app Recovery fixes the issue for you. i have done all of that i have done everything mentioned on this thread, still the game wont launch and doesnt show up on ea app

@SCOUSER_DZ_99, 'game' as in singular, or is your entire Collection empty (what this thread is about)? entire collection i only have FIFA thats why i said game in singular

@SCOUSER_DZ_99, could you share a screenshot of your EA app while you have your My Collection selected/opened?
here.. when i open the game from steam it says that ... cant open the game at all from ea app..
to be clear, an hour ago it was giving me erroe 500 when i click on collection .. now it shows normally, and i can click on fifa and it shows info on it like hours played and all .. put no option to option the game .. and it doesnt open using steam either
