Re: Command and Conquer stopped working after Origin

finally! at last. after three days of trying. I managed to get it to work. what I did is (windows) sign out of the user that your are using. then sign in to admin user. after that right click on EA shortcut in desktop and click on go to file location. there will be EALauncher and EAdesktop. run EAdesktop as administrator. repair the game then launch it. it worked for me.

here is a better version of what I said using AI:

At last, success! After three days of persistent effort, I've finally managed to resolve the issue. Here's how I did it, step-by-step, in Windows:

Firstly, I signed out of my current user account and then logged into an admin user account. This step was crucial. Next, I right-clicked on the EA shortcut on the desktop and selected 'Go to file location'—a handy feature in Windows 11. In the file location, I found two key executable files: 'EALauncher.exe' and 'EAdesktop.exe'. I ran 'EAdesktop.exe' as an administrator.

Once the EA app was open, I navigated to my library, selected 'Command and Conquer', and clicked on the three dots located at the top right corner of the game's thumbnail. From the drop-down menu, I chose to 'Repair the game'. After the repair process was completed, I launched the game, and to my relief, it worked seamlessly.

Additionally, I should mention that my game overlay is currently disabled. I'm not entirely sure if this contributed to the solution, but it's worth noting in case it's a relevant factor.

This method might be helpful for anyone experiencing similar issues. hope this helps you.
