still a problem, perhaps you could remind them to fix this malicious service that doesn't close with the app, runs without permission on pc startup (even if app opening on startup is disabled) and no way to disable it like you could the origin helper...
I just installed the EA APP today so far it's OK only issue is after closing the app EA BACKGROUND SERVICE keeps running i have disabled the allow background service in the EA APP but that does not seem to work at all. I have checked the service in windows it does say its set to manual so the application is not stopping the service when closing EA APP once you stop the service or close the process the service wont restart till you open EA APP again. Origin did not have this issue perhaps check whether the way you have the app terminate this service works on windows 10/11 etc... cause it does change the service status but the EA APP does not terminate the service on closing... This is unnecessary i can see it's beta and I'm pretty sure you intended for the service to terminate since i can see it's not set to restart on failure

Unfortunately, all we can do via the forums is pass the feedback on to the teams directly. It is then up to the teams to take a look into it.
Unfortunately we do not have an ETA if or when any changes will be made. It even stays open if the background services are off. That's malware-level stuff.
