- @GirlPowerHub Thank you! This worked. Hopefully I won't have to do that every time there's an update. It's disappointing this is even an issue to begin with.
I had this same problem. I got Sims 4 to open by quickly canceling the update as soon as ea opens then repairing the game. It's under Sims 4 -> manage ->repair. Also, repairing the game shouldn't mess up your save files but its good to back them up anyways when troubleshooting something like this.
