Re: EA App Download Error - There's a Problem With Your Download

@zonda1998 @ipomekacova Hello! EA is going to get the problem fixed, but in the meantime, the solution outlined here has worked for many players as a temporary workaround.

So far, it's been tested and confirmed to work for:

  • Mirror's Edge
  • Mirror's Edge Catalyst
  • Dead Space
  • Need For Speed Rivals
  • Star Wars Battlefront II
  • The Sims 4, but for that one, see the comments with further troubleshooting on this page

Please come back here and let me know if you can't get it to work. I'll try to help you if you show me a screenshot of the directory with the dummy file you created. Also, please let me know if you're trying to download the game from scratch vs. downloading a required update.

CM edit:

Hi all,

I'm going to close this thread to stop it from being necro'd.

Thank you.

  • Do you know of any workarounds to get the DLC for Battlefield 4 downloaded? I managed somehow to get the main game and a few of the DLC downloaded but am still missing a few and am back to square one with the 14% bug like everyone else here

  • I tried this solution for CnCRemastered but without luck.

First I tried to download a game but it stuck on 14%.

Directory CnCRemastered was created but it was empty.

I added few dummy exe files.

Game was visible with option to repair but repairing also stuck on 14%.
