Re: EA App install fail

In terms of fixes I've tried, none of which have worked:

  • Cleared cache, problem persists
  • Uninstalled Origin completely (yes, the hard way), tried again and problem persists
  • Did a clean boot, tried again and problem persists
  • Ran DISM (came back clean) and scannow (found some errors and repaired them) but EA app install problem persists and still get the same message

All of the above does't fix it. Have tried EA help and have logged as a problem but they've, unsurprisingly, been unable to help so far.

Any further suggestions greatly appreciated.

Running Windows 10 Home (64-bit) on an i9-9900K @3.6GHz Z390 AORUS with 32GB RAM and an RTX2080 Ti

    Also updated and repaired the C++ files (not that I thought they needed it but did so anyway), has made no difference.

    Also disabled Malwarebytes and Windows Defender, which also made no difference. Added EA app installer as an exception, made no difference.

    Running out of options...
