    Hey @junee_ljm,

    That doesn't sound like an issue/the same issue as what this thread is about.
    If you think that a slow download speed of an update is an issue for you, please create a separate thread for this, as this thread is about a specific issue where the EA app is 'stuck' on "Applying Update".
  • vers.12.111.0 uninstalled reinstalled. restarted cache and program multiple times/admin mode, etc... been trying to fix since 3:30pm... even trying to switch its file folders w a new install for steam didnt work...

    @EA_Leeuw I uninstalled and redownloaded the entire game. Left it running the whole night and it was done in the morning. Took me over 3 hours of endlessly trying to get the update to work before I gave up and redownloaded the game. The EA app is the worst app I have ever had the displeasure of trying to use. 

  • I am facing the same issue as well. I am trying to update my FIFA 23 from EA play and it is stuck at applying update for a really long time now. I tried uninstall reinstall, repair EA play as wel. Still stuck at "Applying Update...". PLEASE HELP.

  • having a really slow applying update with fully updated app the app updater says so, how was having slow download rates aswell but i fixed that with a vpn weirdly. origin was so much better.

  • I have the same issue as everyone. Transfered from Origin to EA launcher (ver. 12.123.0). Stuck with Battlefield 2042 on Applying update at 99%. Tried every single thing from the comments of people and nothing works. I would like to get refund from all my games (18) because this launcher sucks big time, and no one did a SINGLE thing to fix it, you just keep posting the same thing over and over again, I can be support like that too. In attachment there is the picture with stuck game at 99%. Bring back option so we can stay on Origin and not reinstalling whole game od 150gb.

    If you continue to experience this error, it would be appreciated if you could share some data with us that allows the EA app dev team to investigate the issue.

    To support the EA app teams as they investigate what could be causing this issue, we would like some additional information from you.

    Could you share the EA app logs & the EA Error Reporter ID with us, here in the thread?

    The EA app logs can be found in "C:\ProgramData\EA Desktop\Logs" and "C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Electronic Arts\EA Desktop\Logs" (without the quotation marks) and it would be nice if you could put them in a .zip or .rar file and upload them here as a post attachment.

    Please also generate an EA app Error Reporter ID and share this ID here. The EA Error Reporter ID can be generated by clicking on the hamburger menu in the top-left corner > Help > EA Error Reporter.

  • Every time there is a small update (Apex Legends) it tells me to reinstall the whole game. I am tired of this, it happens all the time, like every 3 or 4 days. How do I fix it

  • They will tell you the same thing they said to EVERY other customer, to send the logs lol, that's the only thing they know, and it's the problem for months, nothing fixed, but they needed to remove WORKING launcher origin and replace it with this piece of crap..
