If your game library is still showing as empty, please try the following steps to clear this up:
- Open task manager, locate EA Background Service, and end task
- Clear the cache for the EA app
- Check that the EA app is fully updated
- Run the EA app as an administrator
- Check for any background applications blocking the EA App
- Make sure the EA app or other launcher is closed.
- Press the Windows key and "R" at the same time.
- Type or copy and paste "%ProgramData%
- Navigate to Electronic Arts\EA Services
- In the license folder, you can delete all the files
As these are license files for older titles, you won't lose any progress or data.
Clear the cache for the EA app, and if the game has the option, repair the game and launch it again.
If this does not work, try the following:- Go to the Control Panel
- Programs and Features
- Uninstall EVERY SINGLE Microsoft C++ Redistributable
- Download the EA App installer but DON’T RUN YET
- go to VC-Redist and download the appropriate architecture of the latest C++
- Install the C++ Package
- Go to Local Disk/Program Files/ Electronic Arts AND DELETE THE ENTIRE ELECTRONIC ARTS FOLDER
- Restart Computer
- Install EA App
Same answer to everyone. Find a solution, stop telling stories.
i had the exact same issue, i worked not long ago and nothing changed on my pc so EA must have changed something on their end.
turns out i was using an alternate DNS for my vpn service. when i changed the DNS to google (8.8.4.4 and/or 8.8.8.8) and did an ipconfig /flushdns, then terminate EABackgroundService, then restart app, everything shows up! hope this helps someone.
