Please close off any background applications or launch your PC in clean boot mode.

I have done the necessary steps but I am still having problems. As a result of this problem, I am currently unable to connect to the ultimate team.

I see you own the Steam version. Please try launching both Steam and the EA app as an administrator. Right-click on each desktop shortcut and select "Run as administrator." If you encounter further issues, consider reinstalling Steam and the EA app in their default locations.

This might happen if Steam (or if you have Epic Games Launcher or Xbox launcher) tries to launch EA App when launching games for those platforms that use EA App.
If you can find a setting that is automatically starting any of those apps, including EA app, try disabling those so that you have full control of how EA app gets launched. Then restart your computer and make sure none of these apps are running (you can use the windows task manager to see). Then manually start EA App, making sure that you are using the direct launch icon and not trying to launch a game.
