The last time my antivirus had updated was on March 1st as I checked. Virus definitions are up to date as well. I am using Avast.

EDIT: By disabling the antivirus the issue sort of gets fixed. Not sure what else is causing it.

EDIT 2: I updated my Windows 10 and I am still getting the same issue.

i managed to get a solution to this, finally after a day of browsing forums, found that it was my antivirus blocking the EA app from running. The always online thing clashed it seemed with kaspersky being beyond silly when it came to apps running with a network connection. if not then i cant help, but i reckon the av program getting in the way is the main cause of it, even disabling may not get it to work, but if there is a workaround for it, im sure the forums have it on there.
