Error 500

I have been dealing with this for days, I've tried everything including uninstalling all everything including my games and the app....

still as soon as I re install and open the app BOOM error 500! 

I'm on a MacBook, I'm furious I'm on bedrest for the rest of the month and just want to play the sims....

    I am also having the same experience. I was able to hurry up and click the play button yesterday but now with the update requirement i am basically back at ground zero. Extremely frustrating. I am not on bedrest, but finally have sometime off and was hoping to get in some much needed game play.  Hope all is well.

    I was able to fix it by doing a whole system restore on my computer, not happy about it but at least it works now 🤷🏻‍♀️

    Just happened to me all of sudden. Solved it by selecting a command in the Main Menu (top left corner for Windows, I'd imagine somewhere at the top for MacBook) ≡ > Help > App recovery. This is still available even while seeing 500 error message in the middle of the app. Hope this will work for you as well.

    So for the past two days, my EA app is giving me a 500 error. Due to this, I am unable to play or update. 

    So far I have tried:
    - Clearing DNS cache
    - Force quitting EA app & background runner
    - Restarting computer
    - Reinstalling EA app
    - Making sure background permissions are allowed

    Please help. I am so sick of EA and their money grabs, especially when the game is literally unplayable.

    while on mac the = three little lines do not show up at all and i cant help or recover anything this is mac as well as there is no repair sign anywhere help please

    Hi, what worked for me was while in the EA app, in the top bar of your computer screen 
    (apple sign, ea app, account, friends, window, help)
    Press help and then press app recovery from there.

    Thanks. This worked for me. On Windows it's pretty much the same: Hamburger menu>help>app recovery>clear cache

    The app will close then reopen and - should - work as normal. I think this must be to do with the recent 'fixes'. Lol!

  • Started updating my game last night a couple minutes later showed "500 Error". Tried deleting and reinstalling 3 times. nothing. Is my game going to broken forever?? I cant find customer service

    Update: spoke to 3 agents none of them were of any help. Im very disappointed considering how much money I have spent on this game over the years. Once again EA dissapoints

    same! on google it says to clear the cache or something but my app wont stay open long enough for me to do it. lemme know if you find an answer.
