Re: FIFA 23 doesnt work after switching to EA App

Same problem. Why so much trouble to play and there are so many issues with this game and all the money gamers spend on it?

I could open FIFA 23 through Origin before. But in this morning, after I turned on my Origin, It forced me to delete it and use EA APP instead. I couldn't turn on FIFA anymore. I tried everything (install, uninstall), none of them work. Many players have the same problem as me. Can anyone help?

ive not been able to play FIFA23 on PC since launch what a horrible rolloit EA please fix all the issues!

i dont get why they cant just let the game work, every other (i wanna swear so bad on this forum its insane) every week i have to invent a rocket science solution to launch the game, and the fact that they cant fix any of this just goes to show how much they care.

i tried to clean deinstall the game and the app and reinstall it : doesnt work

i tried the "-win" gamestart option: didnt work

and i tried everything else of the copy paste solutions ea would provide.

so basically we need to help ourselfs.

I hate how this company many so much money out of this game, and fifa has been out like what? 20 years? and year after year, same bugs, same problems, poor optimization for pc. Last fifa i played was fifa 14, and i just came back because of the 50% promo. Nothing has changed from 14 to 23... Why steam can run all games with no problem at all, and when there is a bug is so easy to fix, but with EA... oh god what a pain.

I am having the same exact issue as you. I swear, a couple days ago, I played FIFA 23 using Origin and Steam. I have had problems all year trying to get the game to launch, but I had found several fixes to get the game to work consistently. Now today, all of a sudden, I am forced to download the EA app and can't use origin at all and now FIFA 23 refuses to launch and I am brought around in a loop back to the EA app like nothing ever happened. We all paid $70 for this game and it doesn't work 90% of the time and yet I am forced to find a work-around to get the game to launch. To make it even better, with this new EA app, the game won't work. It doesn't look like I'll be able to launch FIFA again this year... truly sad man

Just to inform you that i just played Fifa23 using EA right now. Before this, i used Origin, and had difficulties, just like you had.

Just want you try to login Origin account at EA app, and your Fifa23 can be play. That is what i tried just now.

Happening to me too, I'm so pissed man EA is the worst platform ever.

Did some troubleshooting myself and let me share what fixed it for me, So I went to settings>update & security>Windows security>Manage virus and threat protection> scroll down to Exclusions and remove if there is Fifa exe or EA play exe or Add if u don't have it.

After hours doing research, nothing worked for me... but i tried to figure it out myself, and this worked for me:
Uninstall EA app, install it again
Go to the EA app folder - set in the properties to run in adm mode for both of the desktop icon and the EA app.exe 

I have made some progress on the EA app. I tried a fresh reinstall of FIFA after the EA app was installed and now the game will at least open up. The anti cheat now pops up and says “failure to update” so it is still unplayable but at least it tries to open.

Same problem here, tried a lot to fix it to run on Origin (Download licences, excluding it from Windows Defender etc.) got it to work. Now forced on to the EA app again and ofcourse i can't run it anymore. It will just throw me back into the EA app screen without launching Fifa.

Crazy how EA can't get a simple game to run after many weeks of people having problems.

Try a fresh install of FIFA. Was having the same issue where EA wouldn’t do anything besides go back to the home page but reinstalling fifa at least got the ant cheat to pop up for me

EA is the worst. Even they can not open their own game. Someone MUST solve this problem. In every update we are facing with this problem and nobody is trying to solve. SOLVE THE PROBLEM OR DONT UPDATE THE GAME!

Nothing worked. Says cloud data cannot upload. Says my local files are still saved but unable to open. Just reopens ea app when trying to open fifa 23. This is so trash. Spent tons of money on the game, either this needs to be fixed within a few days or origin needs to be an option for those users with issues. If not fixed I need all my money back.
