    Hello everyone,

Our development teams have made some fixes to the latest version of the EA app client, which should resolve the issue you have been experiencing.

To check if you have the most up-to-date version of the EA app, please run the EA app Updater program. You can find it either in "C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\EA" or "C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\EA Desktop\EA Desktop."

Once you have confirmed that your EA app is up to date, please try reproducing the issue again and let us know if you are still experiencing it or if the issue has been resolved.

If you continue to experience the issue, please follow the provided How-To guide (link: here) to collect new logs. Afterward, please share the logs with us again.

    Thank you in advance!

  • @EA_Leeuw Excellent news - I've just updated and tested and now everything works correctly. Thanks so much for guiding this through the dev process, and thanks very much to your devs for figuring this out.

I had checked the EA App this morning for updates but didn't see anything, and the version I have was tested a few days ago and found to still have the problem. Is it fair to say that the issue was actually server-side? If so, then no wonder it was difficult to track down, as it must have involved more than one team at EA, and coordination of schedules is, I know, not the easiest thing when both have their own roadmaps to follow.

Huge shout out to the team. I will mark this issue as resolved once the option appears on the forum UI.

    Thanks again,

    Marc

    Hey @MarcVRML,

Thanks a bunch for the quick response!

Just wanted to address why you might have missed the manual update. The EA app also has a feature that automatically installs updates from time to time. You can change this setting in the client's options if you prefer to install updates manually (the force updating method). So, in your case, it's possible that the client updated itself and there wasn't a manual update available.

Also, really appreciate the kind words! I'll definitely pass them along to the team.

    Happy gaming!
  • Thanks @EA_Leeuw , although I don't tend to keep the app running, and haven't done during this process, just in case the glitch had a deleterious effect on the rest of the PC, unless of course there's an upgrade mechanism I don't know about. Either way, thanks again!

@MarcVRML, no need to keep it running! The auto-update feature will only work once you have the app open/on a reboot of the app. 🙂
  • Working for me now! Glad I don’t have to click invisible buttons anymore. Thank you to all involved, especially Marco for being so persistent!

@EA_LeeuwUninstalled, reinstalled, updated and still blank. Logs attached, along with a new screenshot against this post's background showing it's a new screenshot.

    Thanks

  • @esspeecy I deleted my EA cache a few days ago using the App Recovery function. You might want to give that a go.

The screenshot you posted is different to what we've been seeing, where the window is without a header title, and contains just an empty frame which is transparent. Your "EA" banner on the header is encouraging to me, and you may need a cache-clear to get it the rest of the way.

Another thing I did also was to clear my DNS resolver cache. This may not be relevant, but it's also worth a try.

Just google "clearing dns resolver cache" for your o/s and it's an easy procedure to follow.

If you're still experiencing problems, then I'm out of ideas but good luck - fingers crossed for you.

    Best,

    Marc

  • I had that blue page initially, just had to wait a bit for it to refresh.

  • @MarcVRMLGood shout but its's always been like that - thank you anyway though, clearing a DNS cache does wonders for all sorts of stuff just not EA unfortunately

@gerball1I've left it open for days waiting for it to refresh 😃

  • Thank you very much.

I can indeed confirm that the latest update did fix the issue and I`m able now to see graphics to install and hopefully soon play need for speed unbound after serveral months of having this issue and not able to install it after I bought it.

Maybe can throw in a Dead Space key for the pain I had to go through.

Thank you for fixing the issue.
