Re: [FIXED] EA app keeps saying I need to verify age

Just was wondering if anyone has gotten this message about "To Follow local laws, we need to check your age before you can buy etc..." See below pictures.

Can someone please explain to me why I have to prove my age on the EA App? It wasn't there last night when I was playing my game. Is this something new?

Also when I click on Learn More it brings me to a 404 page; which has nothing.  And on the Verify Here button doesn't work. It's kind of hard to verify when the link or the button doesn't work.

Yes, I got this on startup today as well. Some idea to make it appear EA is complying with some law somewhere I suppose.

Annoying, but at least we see the same standards of coding, through the entire corporate thing that EA is.😶

Yeah, it appeared on the app too. It seems it's a worldwide issue and not sims 4 related. I could update and I entered the game just fine after I updated.

Same.  Not in the least bit true or accurate, and non-functional.  The issues never end with this, I generously call it, app.  And it attempted to auto-update in spite of that setting being turned OFF and NEVER having been on.  Coding monkeys seem to have taken a banana break.

Yeah I got that to. Is anyone else here having issues with their sims since the game updated? my sims can't do simple tasks like use the bathroom and sleep. Also they are only half dressed,  for some reason they can't get fully dressed. Anyone else having this issue??

YES!!! my sims 4 is having problems now with "**bleep**", initially I thought that since I just updated the game maybe the mod was updated too so i deleted it and then redownloaded the **bleep**, doing the same things. so i tried to do wonderful whims instead and thats not working either. i refuse to play sims without **bleep**. it just add more realistic life things. so for this to happen is kind of disappointing. im wondering if maybe since the age thing it has and states "before you can access age restricted games and content" if that is what is making a conflict with the sims 4.

wait so, is this a global launch because im seeing people from all over the world being asked to verify their age? Im all for protecting young minds from harmful content but this is a step too far... no one agree? all these countries all introduce these measures at the same time?!!?! Alarming, one day they could just stop subscription services and most of the worlds content would vanish as most people dont own physical anymore. Anyways fix i wanna play bf6 with the subscription i paid for

Its got nothing to do with sims 4. Its the EA app, which supports a lot more games than just sims.

I'm having the same problem too, I think WW is just going to have to update their mod because it's not compatible with the new update. For now I'm gonna remove it and see if my game works ok

I have literally been a member since 2008, and I am getting the same message. Makes absolutely no sense considering you have to be 13 to create an account on the website in the first place. Sooo the proof is right there LOL

I just did that. I reinstalled WW with their mod update and it didn't work. My game is supper buggy (my sims are half naked and standing around and not responding to simple tasks like using the bathroom and sleeping)  I keep getting game error messages. I think EA has to fix the update.

You have to uninstall WW and wait for the mod to be updated. I just did this, and my sims went back to normal. Which sucks because I also have WWIU to make my teen pregnant. Hopefully WW will give us an update soon.

AND, just as mysteriously, that message has been dropped from the EA App.

I just started the app again after a day away from the PC, and surpise surprise, no more Legalese mumbojumbo.
