I am using App Version 12.500-5307-96df837b5(20297-d07525b9d1) and after hitting the three dots on game title (DAI) no settings choice is displayed. What shows is as follows:
Play
Manage Add-ons
View properties
Repair
Uninstall
Manage Add-ons shows game and list of DLC's. No choices.
View properties only shows:
Install location
Product key
Advanced launch options
Really need to turn off cloud saves due to saves exceeding storage limit and game will not load.
I have the same issue. Cloud sync takes forever to load game "if" it loads. Wish I had never used EA app to buy games. nothing but trouble. I want to disable cloud saves and cloud sync but there is no option to do so.
There is no solution here. Why did you force us into this inferior application? This is ridiculous.
That's exactly what happened to me, too. Also, my inquiry to the HELP desk netted a link that brought me back to the same page I'd already tried with no actual answer to my question.
When I tried to play the game, I was forced to download the new app and Origin was uninstalled automatically. However, I have Origin on an older PC and I just opened the Origin launcher (yes, it was Origin and NOT the new app). It allowed me to access the Game Properties option and to uncheck the Cloud Save box for all available games. I am hoping that this will work on my newer PC when I log on the next time--my fingers are crossed. I know that not everyone has an older second PC, but just in case, I wanted to share this possibility.
- @TCNibbles Same here, when trying to launch a game and exit EA App it takes a very long time to process, I bet it has something to do with the Cloud Saves. I wish they would have developed this feature further before launching EA App, it is unfinished

Well, it worked until EA decided to make the EA App install a pop-up that could not be canceled. While I had Origin working I went in and deleted a vast number of Cloud saves I had so the new app is working for now. Still no option in the new app to turn off Cloud saves.
With new application EA App fuckedup all my saves. No option to set local saves!!!!!!

Your right I reinstalled Origin and as soon as I started it up I got the (****ing ***) popup and can't get out of it or change anything. God I hate EA!!!!!
Nothing! I gave up. Support was not helpful. Reinstalling did not work. Editing files did not work. Several of my friends have the same issues but they themselves have started switching games over to other apps. I will keep app until I tire of the games I do have but I have switched some over to GOG and Steam. This was frustrating to no end. I hope they fix this but as of today it still does not work. Cloud saves are the biggest tyrants ever invented for any app when you cannot disable it. Folks like myself do not have access to great internet or none at all as several of my neighbors can attest. Even those with good internet are still complaining about this. Needing to reinstall to fix issues with Origin/EA apps seems to be a common theme for its users unless you are one of the lucky few.
EA - WHAT ARE YOU DOING ABOUT THIS?
Origin was working FINE for us... for me. NOW - none of my games LAUNCH. I paid good money - LOTS of money for these. Your FORCED cloud-save paradigm with a single GB as a limit is BOGUS and is killing us. I DO NOT WANT TO USE CLOUD SAVES. I HAVE MY OWN CLOUD, AND I MANAGE OFFSITE STORAGE FOR MYSELF - as many of us do.Please FIX THIS. I've been a paying customer for many years, and in good faith. Please fix this or RE-ENABLE Origin - which worked.

Not sure why this says I am "Novice" - what a joke. I'm far from a novice - this EA stuff... geez.
Why? EA 's the best company ever.
I have switched over all my EA games to Steam, but I still have to use this (sh*****) app that has a problem with cloud saves. I don't need your cloud saves; I have my own cloud that I save my saves to. If we still have to use your (St*****) app to play games that were bought somewhere else then give us back ORIGIN!!!. Just to let you know I also own a copy of each of the games with EA but because of your app I went and bought them on steam thinking I would not need your St***) app.
GIVE US BACK ORIGIN IT WORKED!
I'm tired of this nonsense. There's NO excuse for the EA APP to be this bad - especially coming from a company as big as EA.
I'm playing through Jedi Fallen Order again. Nearly every time I exit the game there's some sort of 'cloud save error.' Then if I start the game again, the EA APP will claim that there are NO LOCAL SAVES. Fortunately, the app is wrong - my local saves are perfectly fine. Considering that I just completed Ilum and got back to Dathomir, I'd be pretty mad if something happened to my saved game.
Do you know what a good programmer would do? A good programmer would add a button to 'Resend save game data' that we could click. But nope, not here. Evidently, EA decided to go the cheap route when hiring software developers.
Where's the option to add a desktop shortcut to a game that's installed? Where's the option to move a game to a different drive or location? You know what launcher is better than the EA APP? Every one! Even Ubisoft's launcher allows me to add a desktop icon for an installed game. Ubisoft!
Considering that EA can't seem to fix something as simple as cloud saves, I doubt I'll ever see those options in the app. Fix this EA, this is ridiculous!
I am also having issues with this. The launcher absolutely refuses to open the game unless I go offline. But NOW that I have this workaround, it'll start telling me my license is expired and to go online. EA has forced Origin to stop working, going out of their way to force a pop up that you can't close out of, AND patching the workaround to remove it. BUT you continue to let an ongoing issue such as this continue. Maybe stop punishing people who find workarounds to your HORRIBLE client and FIX IT! I can't ever just open a game, I have to keep messing and messing with it until it FINALLY decides to open it.
