I'm having this issue right now. The app won't even recognize that I have games installed.
Update: I just opened task manager and terminated the EA app and the EA background service, and when relaunching the app things worked fine.
I closed the EA app via task manager before, but that didn't help. Now I also closed the EA background service and everything seems to work!
This was a quick solution and worked for me. Thanks

for dummies: ctrl+shift+del, go to "details" tab, terminate "eadesktop.exe" and "eabackgroundservice.exe"
