The same thing has been happening to me since yesterday. I tried everything google suggested and nothing has fixed it so i make a ticket to ea app.
same. i removed all my mods. these are the mods that were broken:
https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1KyZE3bNzsoA2O4m8QenVJBCMTfjBPsaN?usp=drive_link
for all the merged items and pack i just installed the unmerged ones
genpvw8lae6u That folder isn't publically accessible. Could you share it please? if you prefer, you can DM me a shared link. I'd like to check if anything here isn't already known to me for support.

I also made a ticket. This is getting to be ridiculous. Good luck to you!

Error occurred on our end. I’m having the same trouble with everybody else I guess which is really ridiculous. Everybody finally found a way to fix their game and enjoy the Sims four but we really can’t because of the same situations that are happening with EA. This is going to be frustrating every single time the game update you guys dropped the ball.

Having the same thing happen. I've tried literally everything to fix it that I could find online, nothing worked. Same thing that removing all my CC worked. Sucks because it was working fine yesterday morning, and I've spent the last two days straight trying to fix it. :/ Good luck to y'all as well!!

In Windows, search for your "controlled folder access" and turn it OFF! It's in Windows Security under Ransomware protection. This is the only thing that worked for me after hours of trying everything!

I rarely comment on forums but this tip works. You're a godsent ktbearrr! I literally uninstalled the game, EA app, deleted all of my packs, mods, you name it. I even tried playing it on Steam (had to redownload it through it). It wouldn't open for some reason. Tried the terminate EA app and updater/background whatnot on Task Manager. At the end of the day, I lost all of my save files. All because I saw this "An error on our end..." upon opening the game after the last update. Had I found this Ransomware Protection setting before, things wouldn't turn out to be this way - losing save files and all that. I'm back on the Sims 4 again and thank you so, so much for bringing up that Ransomware Protection setting! :)

I have the same issue, and I do not have any mods:/ did you get it to work and how?

I've been having the same issue since the game update even with removing all my mods, so I know it's not a mod issue. So frustrating.

To help anyone else who may be experiencing the same issue, just going to share my experience as well. This is the very first time I've had this "An error on our end..." from the EA app. Very concerning.. so I'm grateful for this forum and the responses! I checked for the "Ransomware protection".. easy to find, already off.
sighs Guess it was my mods after all... I'm no stranger to what happens when mods break my game with updates, but like I said, never had an issue with EA app before today. Moved all my mods out, then the game loaded perfectly.. Now begins the game "who's fault is it?" with my mods Lol🙃
Hope this helps! - 0Succ5 months agoRising Newcomer
The only thing that worked for me was the 50/50 method unfortunately ☹️ but if you have the Sims 4 Mod Manager and have organized folders, try going through folders and deactivating certain mods by certain creators. I was recently trying to get cc for my sims house and realized some of the furniture wasn't letting me play. Hopefully this isn't too much!!
