@EA_Cade So sadly, I've run through all of the options (including the nuclear option.) My game is still not loading up. I've even removed all my cc and tried it again. 

Im so confused.. Ive been able to download it.. but it keeps saying i need to download it again and again.. 

Once I have restarted the app and laptop it keeps saying I need to download it so clearly still a error.

This happened to me also - I cleared the cache by clicking the three lines in the top left corner of the EA app > help > app recovery and then clearing the cache. The app restarted and it did let me play then - however I tried this several times and it didn't work the first few times, so not necessarily a fix for the issue :-( Hope you get to play soon! 

I have tried these all a couple times ☹️ and still the same issue

@AitsPoison While it only says Origin's Cache, and not the Sims 4, I found this: https://help.ea.com/en/help/faq/clear-cache-to-fix-problems-with-your-games/#origin-mac

"If you’re on a Mac, you can quickly clear your cache by using the Reset Origin tool."

@EA_Cade Hey, some players are still having an issue. I'm not sure if its still being worked on or not, but just wanted to let you know.

I spoke to EA support earlier because I still can’t download my game (currently says preparing and has done for 20 minutes or more) 🙄.. according to them the issue is still ongoing and they’re still working on it 😒

I’ll include a screenshot of the email they sent me where it says that it’s still an issue.
