Re: something went wrong error..

I just redownloaded sims 4 and installed everything else and it worked (I've had previous trouble with this before) but now its saying I need an update to play but every time I tried to I got a "something went wrong message" Google said to repair the game and clear the cache. I think I cleared the cache but did it on my computer not through the EA app because I cant locate the help menu on my app. (I have a MacBook Air macOS 14.61). But now when trying to repair the game im getting the same message that says "something went wrong try clearing the cache or resetting the app" and ive done both yet both are still not working. Please help.
