Same issue here, reported this error and get the same default responses. Nothing works, I've had to go back to using Origin again as the EA app gets stuck in this infinite loop of - download game - error - try again. EA app is showing the Ultimate Edition that i refunded and will not launch/update (already installed) standard edition.
When you try to install the game do you select English and do you have English in the ea app?
Because in my case an old game fifa 10 couldn't download until i selected spanish at the installation screen.

I have spoken to ea support and been told the following about the download problems with games, its an ea app bug and they are working on a fix so im told.

So can community staff please stop suggesting that people have problems with game blocking etc.... EA have admitted a problem with the app.
Having the same issue with my FIFA 23. Will we get an update for the EA App which will fix this?
I encountered this problem today trying to install BF4.
Launching the EA app in Admin mode fixed it.

This is absolutely crazy, EA forced me to install the EA app and now I cannot download BF5 no matter what I try. I cleaned up all the cache, deleted folders in App data and Program Files and still get either error 500 "The server encountered a mysterious problem" or "Theres a problem with your download". What the hell? I've been unable to play BF5 now for 2 weeks because of this *?!
