Re: Things are taking a little longer than usual to load up. Hang tight while we try

I am having the same issue with my Sims 4 games, which started three days ago as I am getting the error message "Things are taking a little longer than usual to load up. Hang tight while we try to solve the problem.”

I have tried clearing my PC game caches in hopes of rectifying the situation to no avail. When I tested out other games I own from other sites, they run smoothly. So, I know it is not a question of my PC's abilities to connect to the internet properly.

What I find even more discouraging is having read on other sites in regards to this matter, is that this has been going on for them for the past 5+ days! We all pay good money for our games. While in some ways streaming or these apps are supposedly found to be "easier" or with less hassles, as we no longer need to rely on a CD/DVD to run our games, I honestly do not see any progress in streaming or apps when we are at the mercy of external resources in order to play our games, only to find the app down or been unrepairable for over 24 hours.

I sincerely hope this is resolved swiftly and efficiently without further incidence. If this cannot be guaranteed, then please allow us the option of having a backup hard disc for us to use instead so we are always guaranteed full access to our games, as we have rights to.

Thank you,

Melissa

Just wanted to post an update for anyone still having issues.

On another post I found, FieryChunk64414 found the perfect and easy fix!

    Hi,

I had the same problem, what helped me to solve the problem was performing app repair, to do so: -

1- Close the EA App completely.

2- Open Control Panel, then click on Uninstall a program.

3- Head to the EA App and right click and click Uninstall.

4- While the uninstall windows open, click on Repair, wait till the process end.

    Done.

Note: In doing this, your game is not uninstalled, it just updates and repairs any issues you may have with the EA app itself.

Hope this update posted will be of help others as it did for me. Here is the original post to check it out for yourselves: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports-Technical-Issues/Things-are-taking-a-little-longer-than-usual-to-load-up-Hang/m-p/12593315

I did all of the things said here, and still, nothing is happening, also I've tried running EA and FIFA 23 on compability mode, my father wants to play this game for like 5 days now

  • Try to uninstall the EA app with [removed] Revo uninstaller do a basic scan and uninstall, and delete all the registry keys. then download and run as administrator the EA installer. for me the EA app would not let me install, -choose repair.

    (cm edit - removed link)

unfortunately that didn't work, i don't know if i should reinstall the game (fifa 23) because my internet is really slow and my father can't play for over 10 days now

  • If my internet is slow like yours, I wouldn't reinstall the game just do a repair. Also check your DNS servers use 208.67.222.222 and 8.8.8.8.check do an DNS leak test
