Just want to add my $0.02 and say that EA desktop is some of the worst software I have had the displeasure of using in recent years. I don't know how it's possible for a company like EA to release software that is this bad and has so many bugs. Just sad and no F***S given towards the customers and players.
I fully agree! Just about every game they have published the last decade has been a utterly disappointment. Battlefield franchise is a disaster! They drove NBA live into the dirt which they are also doing to the Madden Franchise, Athem another disaster and the list keeps going. This sub service is yet another debacle though they will stress the "Beta" excuse all day yet nothing gets fixed.
As a new customer in the past week or so, it's bloody annoying that every time I find a problem with the software I come on here and find out that it's been reported a year or so ago....and nothing seems to get fixed, in which case what's the point in a beta and what's the point reporting errors when no one seems to actually read or fix anything.....

Do not install games using the Xbox app which is causing the issue for the installation directory choice. It works fine when doing it through the app itself which chooses the proper directory for the game installation. I was trying to install ME:LE and it kept choosing the C: drive instead of where I wanted to install it and resolved the issue from just using the app itself instead. The problem is with the Xbox app which I'm not surprised at all because of its history.
