Update: Just tried it and clearing the cache, it worked! Thank you so much!!  I'm simming again lol 🙂

I also had the issue of not having access to my sims 4 game, I uninstalled and reinstalled the game, followed the steps here also by going offline and clearing the cache too but the game still won't fully launch, it just goes to a black screen, then closes and goes back to the EA App.  

I am having this problem with my Sims 3 game. I have tried restarting, clearing the cache and repairing the game and the app. The game and all add-ons show in my library. I am logged in to the correct account. I don't use steam or epic games.

I'm certain its nothing on my end.

There error says I don't have access. I can open Sims 2 no problem.

Please help!

I am having that same issue. I tried doing all of these things and it still says "you don't have access". I even did it multiple times to see if that would help, and nothing. 

Yes, I am having the same issue. The representative's response in the chat was they were working on it. I have not been able to play Sims since the 26th, and when the update happened, it did not work. I have tried troubleshooting it. My first chat person was amazing and took his time trying to help me fix it. Another chat person stated they know this issue, and hundreds of people are experiencing it. But how do we know it is fixed? Not sure. I guess you check every day. 

Neither method helps.... Even if I log out of my accounts in steam or epic games and link them back in, that doesn't help either.
My game was working fine before and then for some reason this problem appeared out of nowhere. When will it be solved? This problem is many months old and many people are facing it.
In fact I can't play sims 4, thanks...😞
