Does anyone have their Xbox game pass linked to their account? Thats why is messing mine up. I linked it so I could get the 10% off the games and that's when mine stopped working.
When it is linked it changes everything EA related on to your computer making it not be able to see the gaming license. Even If you downloaded from the EA app. Well, you think that your able to get it unlinked and that should take care of it, and it will run. The thing is yes it absolutely will fix the problem, but they won't let you unlink the account for 6 months once you do. I don't understand the point of letting you link them for a discount but not be able to play because they conflict with each other.
So, if you have Xbox game pass linked then unlink it, if you can and that will fix it.
When it is linked it changes the whole make up of files and puts it into the cloud, making everything different. Your gaming license is not made up in the group of folders that you normally would find it in. Even if you download it though the EA app. Xbox game pass basically takes it over and changes the whole make up of files that the EA app is programed to look for and makes it so that it can't find the license that came with the game. Even if you download the games though the EA app, doesn't matter. I've only ever downloaded them from there and only played on PC, never on Xbox.
The way I found this out was that when I tried to take the license out of the folder and put it on the desktop so it will force it back, I couldn't find it. Nowhere to be found. Thinking why is this not the same way everyone else takes to find what I'm looking for and why is it just gone? I dived and dug and talked to many people on EA help, started to talking to Microsoft, looked into everything and that's when I discovered that Xbox takes over the download when it's linked making it so that EA app doesn't recognize the gaming license so that you can't play it because it is not there. I even went through the Xbox app to see if my games are there instead somehow and it will only let me play the base game and Get to Work on that. Does not register all the other expansion packs that I have linked to my account. But it registered the Get to Work pack that I have? Make it make sense!
I don't get how you can link the two for discounts and everything if they can't properly work together without messing everything up and on top of that do not let you unlink the game pass for 6 months. Why not a few days, a week, a few weeks? Not half of a year, especially since I just bought a new expansion pack and guess what can't play it till then. I spend money on both for them both not to work together as they are supposed to. What's the point!
Well, that's my rant, but I also hope that it helps someone too. If you have the Xbox Game pass linked unlink it and you should be able to play just fine. Hopefully this gets a fix!
If anyone has had a relatable experience and solution, please, please help!!! I appreciate it!
so once linked you have to wait 6 months?

That's what it did with mine. I linked it and now I can't unlink until the end of February.
