Re: Unable to Install The Sims 4 After Account Recovery

My Sims 4 game required an update, but the download would not complete. This issue first occurred over a year ago, and despite multiple attempts, the update never worked.

I tried removing all mods and custom content, but the problem persisted. I then uninstalled the game and attempted to reinstall it. However, every time I try to download it, I receive a message stating that my game ownership has been disabled or deleted, that I do not own the title, and that I should visit the game hub for more options. This happens every time I attempt the download.

I have also tried installing the game on a different laptop, but the exact same issue occurs. The Sims 4 is still clearly displayed in my library, and when I attempt the download, I can even check or uncheck all the add-ons I have purchased.

So far, I have already attempted the following:

  • Clearing the cache
  • Logging in and out
  • Uninstalling the game
  • Ensuring I have the latest version of the EA app installed
  • Contacting EA live chat support, who unfortunately could not assist and suggested I post here instead.
