Steam account is being linked by an unfamiliar EA account.

Question

I have contacted Customer Support multiple times regarding this issue. However, all responses are now being generated by an AI system, which strictly adheres to a predefined set of logic and lacks the flexibility to address nuanced cases.

I have explicitly clarified—on several occasions—that the EA account in question is not mine. Even when I log into that EA account via Steam, only the first two digits of the associated email address are displayed; the full email remains obscured and unavailable for verification. Yet, I am repeatedly asked to provide the complete email address.

Given that I can readily demonstrate that the email address linked to my Steam account matches the one registered to my legitimate EA account, shouldn’t this serve as sufficient verification?

How should I best respond to these automated inquiries? My primary objective is to resolve this matter promptly and efficiently. To date, I have already engaged with numerous Customer Support representatives without achieving a resolution.

Sorry to hear you’ve already contacted Support multiple times and are still stuck with an unfamiliar EA Account linked to your Steam account.
If you don’t recognize the EA Account currently linked to Steam, it may indicate that the account was compromised at some point. EA Support can review account recovery and unlinking options, but they’ll need to complete the required account ownership/security checks first. We’re not able to bypass those checks or make account-linking changes through the forums.

When contacting them, explain that the Steam account is linked to an EA Account you don’t recognize, and that you can only see the partially masked email address. There’s no need to post any personal account information publicly here.
