Can we delete comments if you created the post?

i can understand if it's from someone elses post you can't delete comments because it's unnecessary (that should be up to who created the post) i'm not easily the one who wants to get rid of the com...

    Hey sailorleontine​,

    There is not a way to delete other people's comments from a thread you have started, correct. That can only be done by Community Managers or our forum admins. 

    If you believe a reply contains a violation of our forum rules, you're welcome to report the post and we'll take a look. If we agree a rule was violated the post would be removed, or if we take a look and don't consider the post to be a violation it would be left alone.

speaking of deleting something: i noticed since recently i can't delete my own post, why is that🤨🤨?

i only ever deleted 1 post but i think it should be optional to delete your own post

if the site has technical problems, that can happen, i bet each sites has its own problems at times but i want the option back you can delete the post you have created

the only thing i can delete right now is if i shared something in the comments but not with the post itself you have shared, i hope it's a temporary problem🙁🙁?

Hey sailorleontine​,

You'll have the option to delete your own thread for a short period of time after creating it, but beyond that you'll only have the option to edit.

As these boards are here primarily for discussion with other players, having entire threads just vanish if the OP later decided to delete the thread wouldn't be a great experience for everyone else participating in the discussion. In addition to that, threads can be extremely helpful long after a discussion has ended, particularly for people that may be trying to find some useful information on a certain subject.

You should still have the option to edit your post even after it can no longer be deleted however, just in case there was some aspect you needed to update.

    oh i see and yes no worries i can still edit my ideas, i do this a lot👍 (i either add things if stuff comes up or i copy things from other site, delete things entirely to share a more detailed ideas instead...i did this a few times)

    i thought it had some technical issues, i never noticed something like that with "not being able to delete your own post" before so i thought i'll ask the reasons behind it but now it makes sense, by so far i don't have any other questions👍
