Forum Discussion

Does anyone actually think these forums are an improvement?

I honestly just don't see it, it's a big mess and I have to click many times to even see the newest comments on a thread.

It's just a huge downgrade to me compared to the old Sims forums which where so much easier to navigate. It just makes me far less interested to really engage here. It just seems even worse than Discord.

Maybe I'm getting old but I honestly feel like social media is often getting less social due to "improvements"

I agree and replying is a very painful experience most of the time. It is not helpful in the slightest for tech or storytelling threads when you need a chronological order to posts without having to click to make this happen, not to mention replies getting lost in replies to other random posts in the same thread.

There do appear to be some changes slowly happening though so hopefully, eventually, the current system will be fixed and provide a much better user experience for all. For now Answers HQ is still easier to use https://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-4/ct-p/the-sims-4-en

  • I am right there with you. I find posting over here a nightmare. Took me ages to straighten out my own thread over at Creative Corner, so that I had all of my Part-One updates in order. I couldn't find the three posts I made over on What Happened In Your Game Today? with a code so others could just click to find the latest update. And for a short time, possibly due to the use of the code-link, I wasn't able to post anything on my story. Face/palm.

This is not better by any stretch of the imagination. The Guide should have been more than just about the "rules". We really needed a how-to on navigation, posting, finding a post, etc.
