Internal Server Error

Hi, I can't  get past this message.

I have tried on 3 different computers, in 3 different  locations,  on 3 different browsers.

I can get in on my phone, and that's what I'm using now, but it's not as easy as using my laptop.

Is there  anything that can be done to get past this error?

I have followed all the instructions about refreshing page, cleaning caches  deleting cookies etc , but nothing works.

  • Hi EA-David.

I solved it. I did post that on another thread, though.

It was my AVG Anti Track / Browser Protection software . I stumbled across it when  it popped up telling me to turn on protection for Firefox after I installed it the 2nd time. That's when I realised that's what it was. I added the URL for here to my "allowed websites".   Problem solved! šŸ˜Š

  • Okay, I'm in Australia

    My home ISP is Optus.

2 computers  are at home , the one upstairs is a Lenovo desktop, the one downstairs is my Dell  laptop  - both on Optus.

The 3rd computer is a Dell laptop, which I use at work,  and the Salon Wi-Fi is also Optus.

I've used Chrome, Edge and Firefox.  I installed Firefox to see if it would work  on that browser, and it did for about an hour, and then I began getting that  message again.

I did have VPN on, tested it turned off - still the same. I have same VPN on my phone.

I have AVG internet security on all 3 computers.

    I think that covers everything?

    • I think it does cover everything, thanks.  I've flagged your post so that EA people will see it, and hopefully you'll have a fix or workaround soon enough.

I also think it's worth disabling AVG, temporarily of course, to see whether it helps.  I doubt that's the problem since you wouldn't be the only person affected, but it's still worth eliminating.  As long as you don't do anything else at the same time, your computer should be safe.

  • I'll give that a whirl later.

Thanks so much for your help so far. Much appreciated  šŸ„°

  • Can you set your phone as a mobile hotspot and connect it to your laptop?  Make sure it's using data, not your home wifi.  If you're going to test, please test in new private browser windows, in multiple browsers, just to be thorough.

I'm using Firefox on a Mac, which is not really a valid comparison.  I get the authentication error a lot, but reloading the home page and trying again always works.

  • Do you use a VPN, and if so, does it help to disable it?

If not, please list your country and the ISP(s) you tested with, in case this is a provider-side issue.  And please clarify whether the different computers you tested with were on the same overall network or at least used the same ISP.

This does sound like something EA might need to address, so the more information the better, other than anything too personal of course.

  • Still getting the same message on PC.

Still can manage to get on on my phone, but its really slow and glitchy.

Anyone else getting this error on PC?

Hey, to swing back to this, are you still having issues on PC? There have still been blips, but you shouldn't be locked out fully.
I see you posting generally, but that could of course be on mobile/hotspot.
