Have you tried to link any picture the old fashioned way, like we had to do it in the old forum? I know that it's a hassle doing it that way but maybe it doesn't count regarding the limit since you don't need "forum storage" for the link.
When I saw for the first time here in the new forum that we are again allowed to directly upload pictures, I wondered at which point in time they will stop us from doing so.
I think since this is EA's main IP hub and therefore shared with most of their other games, they're forced to limit how many uploads the fan base can do. Unlike the old forums were it was dedicated only to the Síms.
All I can say to that, then, is that this was a bad move on EA's part. They should have taken a good hard look at the Sims forums to realize we like to share our photos!
We can still use offsite uploads(and it still auto displays the image) but it's a bit unwieldy on this forum software. You'll have to put spaces first before inserting the link so that the image doesn't "disable" the text caret thingy.
Bonxie_MCCC , just tried in other thread, linking from imgur showed up as should. I used "from Image URL" option from camera-button here.
So I can grab the code from imjur, use the from image URL under camera option? Just trying to make sure I have it right. I will give that a try. Hoping with all of my heart it works. If not, those who choose to read my stories will just have to put up with my prose, alone. (a scary thought, I know) LOL Thank you.
GalacticGal , I used the camera button's option "from Image URL" , added imagelink from imgur and it is still up, yes.
I tried it out yesterday. Sadly, I still got the popup. Thanks for the suggestion all the same. It helps in so many ways when you're busy trying out things to change the situation. Good therapy, I suppose.
