[Sims 3 forum] Cannot make post, then gets told limit is reached.

So I tried to make a post in a thread in the Sims 3 forum, and the post wasn't made.

So, of course, I tried to post it again, only to get this message.

It is now the second time I encounter this error when trying to make a lengthy post.

Now listen, the Sims community is in large part made up of people who use the game for storytelling purposes, and as such we will often make lengthy posts.

I don't know if its the lenghty posts themselves that make this happen or what it is, but it just looks like this forum was created without in the slightest bit taking the Sims community into account....

In particular the Sims 3 community, you couldn't even give us sub-forums....

(holds up picket sign, shouts angrily)

Edit: The health of these forums is clearly not good. I have tried several times now to make the post, and it won't let me. Yet, the post is stored so I don't have to rewrite it, which is good.

Also, when logged out sometimes it fails to recognize my user, and I've had a few instances where the forum itself just won't load, getting a couple of different versions of a "This page can't be found error". as well as threads not loading and only giving me top blue bar and then a white page. Maybe it will be better tomorrow....

Sprottenham we just did a restart today and also tuned the spam protection settings so that regular users don't get caught. Can you try again and let us know how you get on?

Thank you for looking into the issue, but I won't have a need to make a post with images and links until sometime towards the end of the month. I'm not where my gaming computer is for the time being, but I will most certainly (probably) give it another try later. ;)

  • For the past three days, now, I have been unable to post my latest update. I'm getting the same message, that I have exceeded the maximum number of post. Try again later. Well, I consider the next day to be later. Still, it's a no-go. I respect the fact that possibly when it comes to story updates we should limit it to one a day. I'm already hopelessly behind, as it is. Plus, my updates aren't in their proper order. I was able to fix it once, only to discover that a later update is in the wrong place, despite my effort to only post after whatever comments were in between the former update. If I can delete my entire thread in the Creative Corner, to start again that would possibly be my best bet. I tried to be a cheerleader for this new site over on the old forums. I made the transition from Sims2 to Sims3 and then to Sims 4. It wasn't such a big deal. This is massive chaos.
