Suspecting People Creating Accounts to Be Rude or Praise Their Own Posts

I swear, only because, I have seen multiple instances where new accounts where there is like 1-3 posts like within the same 1-3 hours (then seemingly no more) seem to be made to be rude to other posters or praise their own posts/ideas (made within that same 1-3 hours).

Is this consider rule breaking? Can posts with what seems like a create to be rude post then activity stops, could have the rude posts deleted (if if not complete hate rude)? I do not want to post the examples here as there may be possible innocents, but I am highly skeptical all are innocent.

But I noticed toxicity towards other users increasing, and reporting seems to not be helping. I'd like to keep this community healthy and happy.

If a Moderator could PM for actual details—if they wish to investigate.

    I am not exactly expecting bans (and do believe in people correcting their own behaviour too), it is more of a concern that I started to notice a trend. Thank you for your response.

    Hey HollownessDevour​,

    Thank you for not posting any account names or examples here. Reporting is absolutely the best way to go about this, but it doesn't always result in an immediate ban. Depending on the situation, we'd much prefer to give people the chance to correct their behavior and continue discussing the games or providing feedback rather than being banned outright. 

    This depends on the particular behavior, but in general that means there will be warnings followed by shorter suspensions before getting to an outright ban, so while you may see some of these accounts still around, that doesn't necessarily mean they're not on our radar or nothing has been done.

    That said, having multiple accounts is a violation of our forum rules, especially if that's being used to upvote one's own posts or get around a ban or suspension. Rude or hateful posts are also violations regardless of whether it's a person's only account or not.

    Cheating to Rank up: Level up your forum account by participating, not by gaming the system.

     If you believe someone is doing this, you're welcome to report the post itself and provide the general reason for the report. Feel free to include any details about why you think it may be the same account or poster in that report itself, and we'll take a look. 

    We won't be able to share results of any reports as we don't give out details on another person's account, but all reports are investigated and we'll make sure the appropriate action is taken if we determine there's a violation. Thanks!
