...please double check your notification settings, multiple ones that are related to Discussion replies/adding content are set to not send email notifications.
Well, so, in all honesty the naming for some of these settings confuses me a bit and it's not fully clear on what their purpose is. Ideally I'd like to be notified whenever there is a new post that has either the Announcement or Patch Notes tags, or both, as well as any replies to my own posts, however I don't know if the current settings allow for that. Like I said, it's not fully clear to me what the purpose is for some of these settings. What are KB articles? What are Boards? What is a Forum Discussion? What exactly does "New content is posted: All boards" mean? Does that include blogs? Does that include posts with tags? What exactly does "Send me notifications on posts I have already read" mean? Does that include my own posts? Does that include blogs? Does that include posts with tags? Also, I have the "I earn a new badge" setting set to Never and yet it still notifies me when I earn a new badge. I feel like some of these settings are very vague and don't tell what they do, and also I feel like some of them are broken and don't do what they're supposed to do.
You are set to follow the Announcement and Patch Notes tags though, and that's showing as never triggered. Can I check when you first followed them?
I started following them a few weeks ago. I really couldn't say exactly when. It was definitely some time in April, though.
Thanks for the feedback, there are definitely spots that could use a rewrite for clarity, or a blurb with examples. Thanks for the example on the badges, I'll test that myself.
You asked some great questions, and we'll take the feedback on how inaccessible it can come across.
I'll try to answer what you asked,
What are KB articles? That's the content written like tutorials, as shown here. There are also Blogs, with are informational content about upcoming content or Betas and such. For your purposes they're very similar as non-user content, but our system classes them separately.
What are Boards? Boards would be the name our system has for forums, including blogs. For your purposes, it'll mean anywhere that's not a structural/navigation page.
What is a Forum Discussion? That'd be the name for a standard usually player-created thread/discussion on a regular board, like this one. It's distinct from a Blog comment or activity on a Bug Report.
What exactly does "New content is posted: All boards" mean? I believe should notify you for any posts created in any followed places.
Does that include blogs? Yes Does that include posts with tags? I believe so
What exactly does "Send me notifications on posts I have already read" mean? Does that include my own posts? Does that include blogs? Does that include posts with tags? When you view a post, our system will know so, and keep track. If this is set to "Always", then this will be ignored when email notifications are generated, if this is set to "never" this content should be excluded from emails. It should include
Thanks for the timeline on the tags. I'll continue testing, but it's looking like the tags notifications aren't working, while the others mostly are.
I'll make sure to do some thorough testing and get a bug report in, thanks again.

A lot to unpack here. Firstly, I just want to thank you for not only trying to help throughout all of this but also for taking the time to write up and clarify what some sections of the EA Forums are and what some of the settings are intended for.
With that being said, and I just want to make this clear and say that this isn't any fault of your own, I still remain a bit confused on what settings I should even enable. Ideally I'd like to be notified (via Email) whenever there is a new Blog post for any given game (Apex Legends, Battlefield, Skate, etc), as well as any replies to my own posts, and currently I am not sure what settings I should enable for this. For instance, I have not been notified about your replies on this post, which is a post I created myself. Now, as of this moment I do have the "New replies are added to a topic" and "New threaded replies are added to a topic" set to "Never", which I know are settings that will notify me about new replies, however I have decided to basically turn them off because in the past I have been notified about new replies that are added to EVERY topic I have commented on in my time on the EA Forums rather than just new replies that are added ONLY to my topics.
Also, like I have said, I'd like to be notified (via Email) whenever there is a new Blog post for any given game. Let's take the Apex Legends Game Info Hub for example (Apex Legends Game Info Hub); I am following it. I am also following the "Announcement" and "Patch Notes" tags, and yet no emails show up in my inbox pertaining to new Blog posts. Now, I do have the "New content is posted using a tag I follow" setting enabled and set to "Immediately", however no emails show up in my inbox pertaining to new Blog posts.
Like I said earlier, I feel like some of these settings are very vague and don't tell what they do, and also I feel like some of them are broken and don't do what they're supposed to do. Maybe it's just me not fully understanding what each setting is intended for, Idk.

Hey, this could certainly be clearer.
For the tags, from my testing this is broken right now and we've started an investigation, so thanks for flagging.
For the blogs, your best bet would be to go to the games you're interested in, and manually follow each one from the blog page.
I did some poking around and I believe in your case the blocker was the Advanced setting about only getting notified on new discussions and not replies.
I took the liberty of turning this on momentarily so you'll get notified for this reply, but then you can choose whether to turn it back on. You might have received a double notification too, please disregard that as I was checking another quirk I noticed. That setting seems to "default" back to "new topics", I'll look into it.- Summon4 months agoRising Adventurer

I appreciate you looking into it. If you could, please keep me updated.

Unfortunately, I think this may be another area that's broken. I'm following a few blog pages and I'm not being notified (via Email) whenever a new blog is posted. A recent blog for The Sims was just posted on The Sims Game Info Hub and I wasn't notified about it.
