Cannot reset password, EA will not help (unless you want to wait HOURS for them)

Despite numerous attempts to reset this account, which appears to have been hacked and the password changed, it remains blocked and impossible to access. I am now wanting to delete the account entirely and kick EA Gaming to the curb as they apparently have no interest in helping players recover accounts. All I get is this ‘please double check your account information and try us again’ nonsense. Well I’ve done that 4 times and still have no access so EA can forget it, they have lost a customer.
