The cooldown period for unlinking accounts is a system limitation, and at the moment, EA Help advisors don’t have a way to bypass or escalate it. I know that’s not ideal, especially when you're trying to get things sorted quickly, but once the cooldown expires, you should be able to link your Steam account to your preferred EA account.
I don't have any cooldown period and I'm still unable to unlink my steam account that recently just linked a few days ago. I talked to EA support they gave me a link to follow that I already tried using multiple times and still unable to unlink my account. I explain the situation and was told maybe it's a technical issue try again at a later time. Well, it's been a few days of trying it and still unable to unlike my steam account.
