Controller Mapping for nfs unbound completely off

Question

after trying everything, updating controllers, restarting everything, reinstalling everytging, reseting the controller settings ingame, clearing the chache, launching it via steam through big picture mode nothing worked the ps5 controller still has completely messed up controlls... R2 ist X L2 is O while X is direction up and triangle is direction down

please help I fixing it for hours right now.

Your PS5 controller mapping issue in NFS Unbound happens because Steam or the game is misreading the controller layout. Try this:

Fully exit Steam, disconnect the controller, then reconnect.
In Steam Big Picture → Settings → Controller → Calibrate your PS5 controller.
In-game, reset controller layout again after calibration.
If it persists, use Steam’s “Use default settings” for PlayStation controllers or try a wired connection.

If still broken, the game might have a bug—contact EA support for a patch or workaround.
