I really hope some EA employees are reading this, because in the light of this sale, we need some way to locally store and access our own games on our own computers, fullstop. I am not interested in supporting the new owners with my business, but I am also not going to just watch the over $2,000 I have already spent on DLC for the Sims 4 become inaccessible to me if they decide to drop the franchise or mess with the game. The Sims 4 is a purchase model, not a subscription model, and I have never been happy about the fact that there's no way to access the games I have purchased and paid for without going through a web-based service like Origin or the EA app.
Please, EA staff, please create a fully localized alternative to the EA app that allows us to store and directly access our own games before this sale goes through. Consumers and players like me who have supported this company for years deserve a way to enjoy our games in perpetuity as they currently exist without suddenly becoming at the mercy of new owners who might mess with them or take them away.
If anybody knows of a way to write to EA directly, please tell me about it. I want this opinion heard by the kinds of decision-makers who can program an alternative to going through the EA app, and fast.

Particularly your second paragraph. 100% agree.
As for contacting EA directly. I don't know how either, but it's easy to message any of the EA_XXX folks. They are usually helpful, and can pass stuff along. Probably awkward for them to say concrete things unless EA has announced it, but certainly worth a try.
