Ghost linking

When I attempt to link my EA account to my Xbox account, it tells me that its already connected. However, on the account management screen, there is nothing listed as being linked. It gives me the option (Green xbox icon) to link to xbox. When I attempt to go through the link process, I get the error "Your accounts can’t be linked because your Xbox account XXXX already linked to your EA Account...."

How do I fix this?
