Issues with account links

Hello

I need assistance with linking my EA account to the correct Epic Games account.

My old epic account was hacked, i lost it in 2019 and only manage to get it back in november/december 2023. Meanwhile i created another account for epic just to play games like fortnite, rocket league and later Star Wars Battlefront II.

Recently I got hyped to playing star wars again but i had an issue. The issue is that the account i created afterwards was linked automatically to this EA account because i tried to play star wars in the new epic games account (i used to play in my ps4 before losing the original account, maybe thats why it wasnt linked to this EA account already). As far as i can tell, my original epic games account doesnt have any EA games linked to it ever. Still i dont use the newer account anymore. Is it possible to link it to my original account, i tried unlinking the other account but i couldnt link it to the original?

The game is from epic, i just dont want to lose my progress and create a new EA account just to play my games from epic.

    Hey thalescalil​,

    If you delete the account, the email should be available to use in another account after the account deletion process has been completed. But if your intention is to have a specific email available to use in another EA account, there's an easier way to do it, which would be changing the email on your current EA account and then creating a new account with the main email that you want to use.

    Here on the EA Forums we're unable to assist you directly with these account changes. However, we can try to provide you with the information you need to get this resolved. If you need to unlink any account to then link them to a different EA account, please see:  Unlink your platform accounts from your EA Account & Linking your platform accounts to your EA Account.

    It's worth noting that, when you link accounts, it creates a lifetime link to protect you from malicious activity and help prevent performance issues in your games.

    You can unlink your platform accounts from your EA Account if you want to link them to a different EA Account, as long as that EA Account has never had the same account type linked to it before in its lifetime.

    That means if you unlink an Xbox gamertag from your EA Account, you can’t link a different Xbox gamertag to it in the future.

    Hello EA_cuervo​,

    Thank you for the support so far. I just have one more question:

    If I delete my current EA account, will I be able to create a new EA account using the same email address afterward?
    I understand that I would lose all progress, purchases, and data, and I’m okay with that — I just want to confirm if the email address will become available again for use with a new EA account and for linking to other platform accounts (like Epic Games).
